These were carried out in cooperation between the road and civil engineering department of the STREICHER branch in Landshut and the bridge and civil engineering department in Deggendorf.
From July 2020, an existing combined sewer and a rainwater overflow basin in the “Schrannenplatz” area were upgraded under difficult and restricted conditions on behalf of the Erding Wastewater Association.
In addition and on request of the city of Erding, a 28 m long underground passageway was to be created between the old and new town hall. From the end of April 2020, numerous telecommunications, electricity, gas and water lines had to be uncovered. To create the connecting corridor, 165 piles were prepared as a secant bored pile wall with a diameter of 40 centimeters and a length of up to 6.50 metres.
Furthermore, the attractive redesign of the “Landshuter Straße” began in the same year. For this purpose, among other things, attractively paved wide sidewalks with seating options were created, the area around two bus stops was converted into a barrier-free zone and the transitions between pedestrian and road space were leveled. The construction work was completed in mid-September 2021 and the city center could be opened again completely to all road users.
